FROM THE HEART — A Valentine’s Day Concert —
featuring numerous Canadian Jazz vocalists singing in support of Food Banks Canada
Karin Plato has curated this unique online concert by inviting 24 Canadian jazz vocalists to share their talent from home. Since there have been no live Joy of Jazz concerts due to the pandemic it is Karin’s hope that From the Heart will be something positive and helpful in these precarious time in our world. Vocalists will accompany themselves or sing unaccompanied or perform with their partners. Acclaimed jazz artists, rising stars, award winners and award nominees perform together on the virtual stage.
Admission: suggested minimum donation of $20.00 paid to Food Banks Canada www.foodbankscanada.ca or to your preferred local foodbank.
The concert will be accessible through ZOOM link. Karin will provide the ZOOM invitation link between February 8 – 14. Please email karinplato@shaw.ca with “From the Heart Concert Zoom” in the subject heading. Each of the performing artists will also have the concert link to share with their friends and fans. Karin Plato and Zarina Mulla will be the co-hosts for the concert, taking turns introducing the artists to the virtual stage.
